Carrickmacross Emmets would like to extend their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the late Macartan Murphy, a former Carrickmacross Emmets player. May he rest in peace.

Happy 50th Anniversary to Jimmy & Kathleen Finnegan! Wishing you both many more years of health and happiness!

The Monaghan GAA All-Star teams 2021 & Volunteer Recognition & Appreciatipn Scheme 2021 took place last Wednesday 15th March. We at the Emmets definitely have club men and women who deserve recognition and appreciation all year round. Two of these men who were awarded for club volunteers don’t need an introduction. The work, commitment and their true love for our club is a testament to their passion and belief in the GAA family. Huge congratulations to the great Terry Kiernan and Pat Egan on their awards.

Huge congrats to Coláiste Oiriall on winning the Ulster School Ward Cup today in Dromore, Tyrone! Special congratulations to the 7 boys who are all Carrickmacross Emmets stars; Sean Cassidy, Donnacha O’Hanlon, Eanna Allen, Jack Carolan, Ciaran Birdy, Matthew Carolan and Niall Meehan. Well done lads!

Our club member Sonya McNally was on RTE’s programme ‘Remembering Ireland. This programme remembered all those who lost their lives from Covid 19 and was also a tribute to all frontline staff who endured the pandemic. Sonya was nominated to lay a wreath on behalf of the Mental Health Services in Ireland. We remember all those in our community who died as a result of covid 19. May they rest in peace.
