The leagues for the various underage competitions are currently being set up. It looks as if we will have two teams at U13, two at U 15 and one at U17 with competitions expected to begin around the third week in March. In hurling we have affiliated at U13 and U15 level.
New Season Competitions
Following on from the recent County Board meeting the basic structures for League and Championship have been agreed. The championship will continue with the same round robin league structure with two groups as in the past few years while the league itself will be a single round of nine games, five home and four away or vice versa. The reserve leagues will revert to a double league format. The projected start date for reserve football is March 13th with the senior league due to start at the end of April.
A huge thank you to all our senior players and managers who completed the Sport Ireland Anti-doping certified course last week. This team effort was much appreciated. A reminder to check Safeguarding 1and Safeguarding 2 certificates in case they are in need of renewal.
