U7’s enjoyed a great morning’s hurling at DKIT organised by Ulster RHDO, Oisín McManus last Saturday. Our 2 teams each played 6 matches against Knockbridge, Newry & Warrenpoint. Great effort and skill shown!

U-11’s commence training on Tuesday 22nd February in Castleblayney College gym 7.30 – 8.30pm. All participants should bring their own hurl, helmet and water bottle, €2 each to cover cost of the hall.

U-13’s resume training at Castleblayney College on Wed evenings 7.15 – 8.15, starting on Wed 16th Feb. Coaches will be in contact with parents directly via Whatsapp group.

Well done to the Monaghan Hurling Team who came away from Birmingham with 2 points after a win over Warwickshire last Sun in the 1st round of the Allianz Hurling League. Their next game is in Inniskeen against Armagh next Sun 13th Feb at 2pm. Come out and support the team which has a good Blayney contingent and is captained jointly by our two club men, Paddy Finnegan and Fergal Rafter.

Catch Up Series saw us chat to past player, Barry O’Reilly, speedy Gonzalez himself!! A big thank you to all past and present players who have participated in the series, remember if you have put your player profile on the long finger, it’s never too late to send it in.

Good luck to club players and indeed to all the team and management of Our Lady’s Secondary School who play in the McLarnon Cup Final on Fri evening in Inniskeen.

Club History Project team is looking for any hurling related photos and players’ scrapbooks. These will be copied and returned safely. Or alternatively, photoscan photos and scrapbook clippings and send to 0862517407 (David). All items greatly appreciated.
