Bank of Ireland Dr. Mc Kenna cup success
Well done to the Monaghan senior team on their recent victory in the Bank of Ireland Dr. Mc Kenna cup final over Donegal. While it is a pre-season tournament it was still great to see senior captain Ryan Wylie lift the trophy for the first time in 19 years. Monaghan get their Allianz League Division 1 campaign up and going this Sunday when they travel back to Healy Park to face the All Ireland champions Tyrone. Tickets for same are now available via the Monaghan GAA Website.
Phoebe Carroll –R.I.P
The Rockcorry GAA club, committee and members extends its sympathies to the Carroll family on the sad passing of Phoebe.
Phoebe was a former club secretary while she was also a former player of the Rockcorry ladies club and a member of the Monaghan Ladies county panel that claimed the senior All Ireland title in 1996. Away from the field of play Phoebe held a number of positions at both club and county level. May she rest in peace.
