Bumper 50/50 Draw for December The club would like to acknowledge your support throughout the year and so we are delighted to offer additional spot prizes for the December draw. In addition to our normal monthly winner there will also be 2 €100 winners and 2 €50 winners. You can purchase your ticket(s) online at any stage. AGM took place on Sun 5th Dec via Microsoft Teams. Chairman, Jimmy Lacey reflected on the year that was 2021 acknowledging the successes of the teams, both Senior and Juvenile. The chairperson acknowledged all the hard work of the coaches, mentors and parents who had supported the club’s efforts with special mention for the Covid Officers. Children’s Officer Mary McArdle who was standing down from her position was thanked for all her diligence and hard work in this important role. Appreciation was extended to all businesses, families and club supporters who had supported the club. Special mention was made of our main sponsor, Pete McMahon, Centra and Supervalu whose ongoing sponsorship has been a huge benefit to the club. New sponsor of the U-17 team Niall Mulligan Construction was welcomed on board while Omar Duffy of Duffbrook Farms was thanked for his sponsorship of the Senior team’s preparations ahead of the Intermediate Hurling fixture. Hurling at Castleblayney College Well done to the Junior students who represented Castleblayney College in the recent U14.5 Ulster Schools Hurling Mallon Shield at Cloghan and the Senior students who defeated Colasite Feirste last Thursday in the U19.5 Ulster Schools Hurling Casement Shield Quarter Final at St Colman’s College Newry. They progress to a semi-final against Carndonagh Community School. Best of luck lads!

Club History Project team is looking for any hurling related photos and players’ scrapbooks. These will be copied and returned safely. St Stephen’s Day 17th Annual 10K Fun Run/Walk is going virtual this year. People are being invited to take part in this year’s event with proceeds in aid of St Mary’s Comfort Fund.
