The Drive in Bingo continues this Saturday evening the 20th of November at 8pm sharp. The Jackpot currently stands at €2400 with a prize fund of €1350 been given away every night. We look forward to seeing you all and hearing the beeping of horns which highlights another winner. An added bonus is our 50/50 draw on the night with a varying prize fund available.

50/50 Draw

Congrats to Dwayne Rooney who was the winner of our 50/50 jackpot draw of €215. Entries are now open via the club Facebook and Twitter pages for the next draw on Monday November 22nd . A number of options to enter are available with it starting at €5. 50% of what is taken in will be given back out as the prize while the remainder will go towards the day to day running and continued development of the club. All support is appreciated.

Junior league semi final

Our senior team’s season ended on Sunday evening with a defeat to Clones in the Junior league semi final in St Tiernachs Park. Having exited the championship a little over 6 weeks ago, it was a long wait to play this particular fixture and that was evident with some passages of play as the team never really got into the groove with the home side running out comfortable winners. They will now meet Toome in the league final as they accounted for Drumhowan in the other semi final. It wasn’t the easiest year for the senior team due to the Covid restrictions and the broken up nature of the league and championship campaigns, however we do thank the players and management for representing the club and congrat the reserves on their league success early in the year. It was a year where a number of players made their senior debuts and we look forward to seeing them continue to pull on the green jersey. Thanks also to our senior team sponsors Foxhound Travel for their continued support.

Terence Reilly Memorial Shield

Our U13’s will have their final outing this Saturday when they face Latton in the Terence Reilly Memorial Shield at 11am at Paric Mhuire. It has been an incredible year for this panel of players as they done the double with the Division 4 league and Division 3 championship and will no doubt be looking to make it at hat trick on Saturday morning. We wish the team and management the very best of luck and ask you all to come out in support of the success this team has brought to the club this year.

St Vincent De Paul – Tractor & Vintage Run

This Sunday will see St Vincent De Paul host a Tractor and vintage car/Bike run from the Club grounds. Registration is from 10:30am at St Mary’s hall with the departure at 12pm. Refreshments will be served with prizes for best in each category. All makes/models of Tractors, cars and bikes are welcome.

Caring for Cara

Cara Indie Rooney is the daughter of Darina Slowey and Kyle Rooney and was welcomed into this world on the 3rd of September. Sadly her arrival was one filled with numerous tests and many trips in and out of Our Lady’s hospital Drogheda and the Children’s hospital in Crumlin where Cara was diagnosed with Extodermal Dysplasia with Immune Deficiency. It is an extremely rare condition that effects the development of Extodermal tissues, including skin, hair, teeth and sweat glands. A Go-fund me page has been established to assist in Cara’s medical care as her immune system function has been reduced and she requires several blood transfusions before preparing for a tirp to the Great North Childrens Hospital in Newcastle for further treatment.

Details of the Go-Fund me page are available on the Rockcorry GAA social media channels or by searching up “Caring for Cara”. We extend our best wishes to Kyle, Darina and Cara and ask you to support.
