Doohamlet G.F.C Results:  Our seniors played in the semi-final of the Intermediate Championship on Saturday evening last against Donaghmoyne in Inniskeen.  It was a game of two half’s with Doohamlet taking control of the first half and at the first water break led four points to two with scores coming from Barry Mc Bennett(0-2), Barry Mc Ginn, and Jamie Walshe.  The second quarter seen some good scores from Oisin O Neill, Barry Mc Ginn and Darren Connolly and a goal from Niall Johnny Connolly coming at a great time just before the half time whistle.  Kevin Mc Ardle replaces Sean Markey. The score at half-time was Doohamlet 1-07 Donaghmoyne 0-6.  In the third quarter we fought hard and a goal from Oisin O Neill left us level with the opposition Doohamlet 2-07 Donaghmoyne 0-13. In the final quarter our only score was a point from a free by Barry Mc Bennett.  Paul Mc Ardle replaces Ciaran Mc Manus and Dermot Kelly replaces keeper James Casey as a blood substitute.  Try as we may things did not go to plan and Donaghmoyne edged ahead by a single point and just before the final whistle get a goal to seal the game. Final score:  Doohamlet 2-08 Donaghmoyne 1-15. Unfortunately, this is the end of the road for us in the championship.
