This is a great achievement for the club, with the team gaining back-to-back promotions. Congratulations is extended to the team and management on this historic feat.Ladies: Aughnamullen Ladies held our annual presentation night on Saturday night. As a club we wanted to celebrate each team and efforts and achievements from 2021, with our U14 division 1 and division 3 teams taking pride of place. We had ‘Most Improved Player’ and ‘Player of the Year’ awards for each age group. Senior Player of the Year was taken home by Aoife Bannigan, while Junior Player of the Year was awarded to Grainne Sheridan. For our Minor team, Katie Sheridan bagged Player of the Year and Lucia Sheridan received Most Improved Player. On the U16 team, Ellie Ward deservingly won Player of the Year and Rachel Cassidy took home Most Improved Player. U14 Division 1 Player of the Year was awarded to Katie McAdam and Most Improved Player went to Aoibhinn Treanor. U14 Division 3 Player of the Year was Megan Boyle and Emma Deery received Most Improved Player. U12s player of the year was Eve McNally and their Most Improved Player was Katie Woods. Unfortunately, we couldn’t have an award for everyone, however each girl should be very proud of the work and dedication they put into football this year. We have some sponsors we would like to thank, thank you to Rosemary Johnson from Gifts n Things for sponsoring the balloons and napkins, Quinn’s butchers for providing sandwiches, Evelyn McCaul for taking pictures, Colemans bar for sponsoring the balloon wall and to Paul Deery for the music and selfie mirror.
