AGM

We will hold our AGM on November 26th at 7.30pm in The M Hotel – Treacy’s Hotel. Nomination and Motion forms are being distributed now to club members and should be returned by Friday, November 5th to secretary.magheracloone.monaghan@gaa.ie or to Brian Busby, Loughderry, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.

Sympathy

The club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to club coach Aidan McGarrell on the death of his mother Evelyn last week. To Aidan, Siobhain, Kayla, Saoirse, Oisín, Aodhán and Naoise, our thoughts are with you all.

Seniors

Our Seniors secured an important win over Monaghan Harps last Saturday afternoon in the second round of the Relegation League. We now play Carrickmacross in the last game which will determine our league status for next year. This game is fixed for November 5th in Castleblayney at 8.15pm.

U15’s

Our U15 Division 2 team finished their year off on Monday but unfortunately it was after a loss to Clones in the Shield final. Hard luck to all the lads and management team.  Best wishes to those who will still be U15 next year and to those who graduate to U17 level.

U13’s

Congratulations to our Division 5 panel who now look forward to a Championship final against Killeevan next Sunday at 11am, venue to be decided. They beat Aughnamullen in a fantastic semi-final which went to extra time. In the true spirit of our players, they showed remarkable persistence and hard work. They played to the bitter end and now reap the rewards of a Championship final.

Unfortunately the season ended on Saturday for our Division 1 side who were beaten by Aughnamullen in their semi-final. Hard luck lads and management.
