Results:  U17s played in the semi-final of the shield championship on Tuesday 12th Oct in Cloghan against Aghabog.  Doohamlet opened up the scoring and at the first water break Doohamlet led by a point Doohamlet 0-4 Aghabog 0-3.  There was nothing between the teams at half time with Doohamlet 0-7 Aghabog 1-04.  This was a close game with some fine scores coming from Eoin Coleman who put five points over the bar and Tommy Duffy scoring 1-01 for his side. Donnachta Mc Mahon got a lovely point from play also leaving the score at the second waterbreak Doohamlet 1-07 Aghabog 1-09.  In the final quarter Doohamlet had a player stretchered off and things didn’t go according to plan and Aghabog took full advantage and stretched their lead with Doohamlets only point in this quarter coming from Mattie Duffy.   Aghabog stretched their lead in this quarter and went on to win the game Doohamlet 1-08 Aghabog 2-15.  A huge thanks to all the boys on the team for their dedication and commitment and to those who travelled to training every night.  A word of thanks also to management,  Bernard Coleman, Declan Mc Cooey, Hugh Mc Ginn and Conor Marray for all their hard work and commitment during the year, and also to Gary O Neill who was the team’s first aider. We hope everyone enjoys their break and we look forward with anticipation to next year and starting out again.
