Many thanks lads
U17: The U17 team played Rock Sarsfield’s in the Quarter Final of the Championship on Monday evening last when they had a convincing victory winning by 6-11 to 3-10. The foundations for this victory were an excellent first half performance where the lads had ran into a handsome lead. In the second half a number of substitutions were made, and the amalgamated outfit came more into the game, but our boys held firm and ran out winners. Next game is penciled for this Friday night away to Emyvale at 7.30pm and best wishes is extended to team and management. One point of note is that Conal Savage made comeback on Monday night after a serious injury which occurred earlier in the year, and it was great to see conal back in the blue colours.
U15: The U15 A team were beat by Inniskeen in the Semi Final of the Division 2 Championship on Saturday last losing by 4-12 to 2-6. Although the boys tried hard Inniskeen held the upper hand mostly through the game. In the first half Aughnamullen playing with the elements ran into an early 3-point lead only for Inniskeen to score a fortunate goal to lead by 2 however Aughnamullen came back with a goal of their own courtesy of Patrick Lambe however Inniskeen finished strong and led by 4 at the break 1-7 to 1-3. With the elements in their favour Inniskeen scored 2 quick goals to go further in front and at the water break led well. In the final quarter Aughnamullen never give up and scored a brilliant goal by Paraic Mc Entee to reduce the arrears but Innniskeen held out and ran out winners in the end. This ends the football for our A team this year, but the lads had a great year winning the Division 3 League and reaching the semifinal of the Division 2 Championship. Many thanks to all the players and management of Derek O Neill, Michael Murtagh, Dale & Joel Wilson and First Aid person Linda Garrivan and Covid Officer Janet Bannigan.
The B team are still training away for their final against Truagh in a few weeks so best wishes to them in their future endeavors.
U13: The U13 team play in the Division 1 Championship Quarter Final this coming Saturday at home to Clontibret at 2pm. Best wishes are extended to team and management

Conor Mc Skeane Memorial Tournament: On Saturday last the Annual Conor Mc Skeane Memorial Tournament was held in Donaghmoyne. This year Aughnamullen had teams in U11 Boys, U10 Girls and U9 boys. The U11 Boys had 2 teams with the A team being eventually beaten by Donaghmoyne in the Cup final by 1 point. However, the B team won the Shield competition defeating Corduff in the final by 5-6 to 2-2. Well, done to the 2 teams and management of Paul Mc Ardle, Paul Mulligan, Fabian Kerley and Gussie Forde

The U10 girls played against Donaghmoyne and Carrickmacross and played some wonderful football and showed great battling spirit in the games they played. Unfortunately, they missed out on reaching the final however they left donaghmoyne happy on their showing. Well, done to the players and management team of Gabriel & Mary Mooney, Eilish Markey and Mel Nugent
The U9 boys played also on Saturday and reached the semifinal only to be beat by Carrickmacross by 1 point after extra time. Many thanks to the management team of Gary Mulligan, Barry Mooney and Gavan Duffy
