Drive in Bingo Continues

The Drive in Bingo continues this Saturday evening the 4th of September at 8pm sharp. The Jackpot currently stands at €1850 with a prize fund of €1350 been given away every night. We look forward to seeing you all and hearing the beeping of horns which highlights another winner. An added bonus is our 50/50 draw on the night with a varying prize fund available.

Junior championship

The Senior team made the trip to Drumhowan on Sunday evening for the opening round of the Junior championship. With the sides having met a week earlier in the league, there was an element of familiarity between the teams with the visitors certainly giving a better account of themselves. Having taken an early lead with a goal from Lorcan Smith, we did hold the advantage at the break 1-06 to 7 points and indeed pushed that out to a 3 point lead early in the 2nd half, however goals wins games and Drumhowan managed to breach the rear guard twice to raise the all important green flags and take the win on a scoreline of 2-14 to 1-10. There is little time to dwell on that result as next up it’s a local derby with Aghabog as they visit Paric Mhuire on Sunday at 2pm. Best of luck to the team and management.

Underage

Well done to the U13’s who have reached the League cup final after a semi final win over Eire Og. Credit to both teams for providing an entertaining and sporting encounter on Saturday past in Rockcorry. Only 2 points separated the sides at half time, with the home team having the edge and they stepped it up in the 2nd half to reach the decider where they will face Cremartin. That game is fixed for this Sunday at 5:30 in Doohamlet. Best of luck to the team and management. The U15’s are also in final action with their league cup decider pencilled in for the 14th of September against Ballybay. Our U11’s will wrap their Liam Stirrat Development league with a game against Blackhill. Time, date and venue to be confirmed before turning their attentions towards the Bosco Carroll Memorial cup. The U7’s completed their training during the week after a busy few months of blitzes. Well done to all the players, coaches and parents who assisted with this group. The U9’s are also finishing up on the blitz end of things, while the minors are preparing for the championship.
