Social Center: Our Social Center has reopened for indoor service. The Center will be open from 8pm Monday to Saturday and every Sunday at 4pm. Food will be served every Sunday. Please note that proof of vaccination is essential in order to eat or drink indoor, our staff will be complying with government guidelines in ensuring only those that are vaccinated can enter. The outdoor marquee will still be available for those without the Covid Cert.

Seniors: The senior team play away to Tyholland in the Intermediate League this Sunday the 8th of August at 3pm. Best of luck lads.

Reserves: The Reserves play at home to Truagh in the Preliminary Round of the O’Duffy Cup Reserve Championship this Friday evening at half 7. Best of luck to the team and management.

U19: The U19 team played their final game of the league on Wednesday last at home to Killanny, where they won on a scoreline of 3-15 to 2-10. The lads started slowly and Killanny dominated the early stages, however a classy goal by Shay Duffy and a brace from Conor Boyle in quick succession gave Aughnamullen a strong advantage in the game. Well taken points by Liam Duffy and Cillian Traynor pushed Aughnamullen’s lead to 5 points at the half time break and from there the lads went on to seal a comfortable win. A clinical display by the Aughnamullen forwards in the second half ensured the lads set up a semi final date with Truagh at home on Wednesday the 4th August at 7:30pm. Check social media for result. U17: The U17 team played away to Emyvale in the league on Thursday evening last, where they had a hard fought 3-10 to 1-14 win. This was a game where the lads found themselves behind for the majority of the contest, with a strong Emyvale team dominating throughout. The lads showed grit and resilience to to come back, with a late goal by Bobby McCaul turning the game around and sealing an important win. The lads were fixed to play Truagh on Monday evening last, but were given the points as Truagh conceded the match. They play their last game of the league away to Carrickmacross this Tuesday the 10th of August at 7:30pm.

U15: The U15 team’s next game is the Division 3 Cup Semi Final at home to Cremartin on Thursday 12th of August at 7pm.

U13: The U13 teams played away to Castleblayney on Tuesday evening last, where the Division 1 team had a brilliant 3-13 to 3-10 win and the Division 5 team lost on a scoreline of 8-8 to 1-7. They are next fixed to play Donaghmoyne away on the 14th of August..

U11: The U11 teams next play away to Donaghmoyne on the 7th of August.

U9: The U9 teams have a blitz on the 14th of August in Killanny.

U7: The U7 teams have a blitz on the 7th of August in Clones

Ladies Football: The ladies teams had a number of games recently and the results were as follows

Seniors had a comprehensive win over Scotstown on Sunday. Final score 5:08- 2:04. They now play away to Donaghmoyne in the last round in the league on Sunday time tbc.

Minors were beaten by a strong Harps side on Thursday evening. Final score 5:20- 3:05.

U14A had a great win over Scotstown on Monday night final score 7:09- 0:09. Division 1 semifinal is at home on Monday 16th August at 7pm against Killanny.

U12s got their league campaign off to a fantastic start final score 2:11- 0:01. Their next game Is against Emyvale on Friday at 7 in Aughnamullen.

CongratulationsCongratulations to Niall & Ciara Markey who recently had a baby boy. Congratulations is also extended to Ciaran and Deirdre Mooney who also welcomed a baby boy. Birthday wishes to Caroline Geoghegan who turned 50 recently.

County Teams: Commiserations are extended to our club players Joel Wilson and Micheál Bannigan, who represented the county in 2 Ulster Finals over the bank holiday weekend. Unfortunately results didn’t go Monaghan’s way, with Joel and the Under 20 team narrowly losing out to Down after extra time in Armagh on Friday night last, and Micheál and the Senior team losing out to Tyrone in Croke Park on Saturday. Both players done their club and county proud, hard luck lads.
