Elaine Tate –R.I.P.

All of life in the Rockcorry GAA club and surrounding community came to a standstill on Saturday afternoon when news reached us that our friend and supporter Elaine Tate (nee O’Hart) had passed away. Elaine wife to our senior player Anthony and mother to underage players Fionn, Patrick and Ava was a regular attendee at club functions including football matches and the Drive in Bingo and never allowed having to deal with serious illness deter her from supporting the club and her family. The high esteem with which Elaine was held by all in the community was evident with the numbers who turned out to show their respects in beautiful summer sunshine on Monday morning with guards of honour been provided by all the club underage teams, as well as the senior panel/management, and club committee and members. To Anthony, Ava, Patrick and Fionn as well as Elaines parents Caith and Kieran, brother Ciaran, sisters Edwina, Emma and Ellise, extended family and large circle of friends the club extends their sympathies. Elaine we thank you for your presence, smiles, guidance, support and loyalty. May you rest in peace.

Drive in Bingo is Back

The Drive in Bingo continues this Saturday evening (3rd) at 8pm sharp. The Jackpot currently stands at €1450 with a prize fund of €1350 been given away every night. We look forward to seeing you all and hearing the beeping of horns which highlights another winner.

Well done to all the teams from the club who have been busy on the playing fields. The U15’s are back out tomorrow night (Fri 2nd) when they welcome Killeevan to Paric Mhuire at 7pm. Our Senior reserves are also out tomorrow night when they travel to Tyholland at 8pm. On Saturday the U13’s welcome Doohamlet to Paric Mhuire at 12 noon. The minors are also at home on Sunday morning when they welcome Tyholland at 11:30am. A reminder that up to 100 spectators can attend these games and we would ask that you would follow all the Covid 19 guidelines.

Inter county action

Best of luck to the 2020 Monaghan minors, who will contest a 3rd Ulster final in as many years, as they look to make it a 3 in a row of titles when they take on Derry on Friday evening at 7:30 in Healy Park Omagh. On Saturday the Monaghan senior team get their Ulster campaign underway when they face Fermanagh in St Tiernachs Park Clones at 3:30. While the hurlers face Louth in the Lory Meagher cup on Saturday evening at 7pm in Paric Gratten Inniskeen.

Gym Equipment

It has been noted that some equipment from the gym has been removed. We would ask that anyone who may have taken anything from the gym during the course of the lockdown, would return it as soon as possible.
