Intermediate League
This Sunday 27th June sees the commencement of the Intermediate League and first off, we entertain Corduff in Pairc Eanna at 3pm. In our group this year we also have Eire Og, Tyholland & Aughnamullen. Best of luck to Alan & team!!
Reserve League
We went down by a single point at home to Castleblayney last Saturday evening on a score-line of 0-16 to 1-14. It was a game that ebbed and flowed with neither team able to pull away from the other – that was until Blayney found the back of Kevin Quinn’s net after 38 mins which put them six points up but credit to the lads they clawed their way back in to it but having dominated the final 15 minutes just ran out of time in finding the equalizing score. However, there were some impressive performances particularly up front which should give Alan O’Neill some selection options for next weekend’s Intermediate League opener. Our next match is away to Ballybay on Friday 2nd July
U-19’s
The U-19’s competition kicks off next Wednesday 30th June. This year we are in Div 3 and will open up with an away game in Doohamlet at 8pm.
U-15’s
In Div 2 our U-15’s lost out to Carrickmacross last Thursday evening 6-17 to 2-06. We have a bye in this competition this week.
U-13’s
Our U-13 Div 2 team recorded a great victory over Carrickmacross last weekend winning out by a single point on a score-line of 5-06 to 2-14 while our Div 6 team suffered a heavy defeat away to Truagh
Next Saturday our Div 2 team are at home to Emyvale at 12pm and our Div 6 team are at home to Corduff on Tuesday 22nd June
Go Games Summer Blitz’s
Our U-9’s had great fun in the sun in their first blitz of the year in Clontibret last Saturday morning. Along with the home side, Aughnamullen also provided the opposition. The U-7’s are back on the field this Saturday in their second blitz. Times & venues will be communicated to parents via the WhatsApp groups.
