All the players got plenty of games against Inniskeen, Latton, Carrick, Monaghan & Truagh and enjoyed themselves immensely. A big thank you to Inniskeen for organising the blitz! Other blitz dates are: Clontibret Wed July 7th. Monaghan Harps Wed July 28th. Latton Wed Aug 15th. Carrickmacross Wed Sept 1st. All of these 7pm – 8.30pm.

The u13 team continued their progress with a win in Derrynoose on Mon 21st following on from the u15 victory over the Derrynoose team during the week. The u17s lost out to Keady on Sunday morning by the narrowest of margins, a one point defeat for the group who were missing several players. Training is continuing for the u17 Celtic Challenge panel with Castleblayney players and mentors heavily involved. There are several refixed Armagh league games to be played over the coming weeks and management will continue to monitor the schedule carefully in conjunction with the football fixtures. It has been a great month of June so far and all are looking forward to continued enjoyment as the summer proceeds.

Monaghan Hurlers were edged out by Sligo in Inniskeen last Saturday on a scoreline of Sligo 0-21 Monaghan 0-19. They now prepare for their 1st Championship games against Louth on the weekend of the 3rd July.

‘Catch up with..’ series saw us chat to Jarlath Denny this week, a player, though now retired, is still hugely involved in the club at committee and coaching level. A big thank you to all the players past and present who have taken the time to participate.

Referee recruitment The man in the middle is always in demand and of course without their watchful eye, games cannot be played. If you have any interest in supporting the game by taking on this very important role, you will be given training and support to do so. Contact any member of the committee if you would like to put your name forward as a referee.

Website a new club website will be launched in the coming days. Keep an eye on social media platforms for the link to the new site.

St Mary’s Park Development Tickets for the car draw for the development of St Mary’s Park are available from members of the Hurling Club committee and some of the senior hurlers. If you want to support this development, contact any of the above.
