Best wishes to U-7’s player, Finlay Moore for a speedy recovery from injury.

U-11’s are fielding two teams in the upcoming league. First games start this Sunday morning away to Clontibret and at home to Monaghan Harps. Lots of hurling over the next three months to enjoy!

U-13’s Congratulations to the u13 team who began their 2021 season with a victory in the Táin Og against Carrickmacross. As the sun shone in Concra, the team lined out at thirteen a side with a good mix of younger and more seasoned players. Within moments the team had scored a goal and as they settled into the match, some lovely points sailed over the bar. Playing with confidence, the young Castleblayney team were dominant throughout and hope to build on this success as they continue in the Armagh’s League this coming weekend.

Monaghan Hurlers next meet Longford on Saturday 12th June in Longford.

‘Catch up with..’ series saw us chat to David Connolly this week, a name synonymous with hurling in Castleblayney! A big thank you to all the players past and present who have taken the time to participate.

Leaving Cert best wishes to any of our players who commence the Leaving Cert this week, you have made it this far in difficult times so the rest will be pedestrian for you!

Referee recruitment The man in the middle is always in demand and of course without their watchful eye, games cannot be played. If you have any interest in supporting the game by taking on this very important role, you will be given training and support to do so. Contact any member of the committee if you would like to put your name forward as a referee.

Website a new club website will be launched in the coming days. Keep an eye on social media platforms for the link to the new site.

St Mary’s Park Development Tickets for the car draw for the development of St Mary’s Park are available from members of the Hurling Club committee and some of the senior hurlers. If you want to support this development, contact any of the above.
