Farney Siamsa Challenge

We certainly hope you have been enjoying the short videos that have been circulating on the Monaghan GAA social media platforms. Well done to a number of our club members who have contributed to the project and there is still an opportunity to do so. All you have to do is make a short video (2 min max) of a song in Gaeilge or English, draw or highlight Irish Culture in the form of Art, perform a tune, give a recitation, perform a dance or highlight a local landmark in your area. Complete details are available on the Club facebook page. When your video is complete you can forward it to the club secretary at the email secretary.rockcorry.monaghan@gaa.ie. There is still plenty of time to get your videos in, so get performing.

Referee Recruitment

Monaghan GAA is recruiting new members for the referee panel in Monaghan. It is proposed that the basic level 1 course be delivered as follows, 2 modules on-line and 2 modules in classroom form when circumstances allow.

Football and Hurling referees are needed today. Anyone who is interested please contact our club secretary secretary.rockcorry.monaghan@gaa.ie . We have been very fortunate to have a number of referees represent the club and it would be great to have a few more.

Stay Safe

Just a reminder that the club committee are available to assist/help anyone within the community who require or need it. It is very noticeable with this particular lockdown the number of people that have tested positive or have been close contacts and are adhering to the isolation protocol. We wish a speedy recovery to anyone who has contacted Covid 19 and give a reminder that if you are self isolating and require any assistance, the committee are happy to help.

Monaghan GAA – Coaching Videos

A big thank you to the Monaghan coaching committee who have been producing coaching and skills videos for the relevant age groups within the association. We know doing this work at home off a screen is not the same as having the fun in the field with your friends and team mates, but it is important that you put aside some time for physical exercise. The videos in question are shared on the Rockcorry Facebook page and also forwarded to the groups via the club messenger service.
