Senior Hurlers are keeping fit during the current lockdown on the Strava fitness app. Players can download the app, join the group, log their runs and view their progress on a weekly table. Contact Jimmy for details. Clubforce The club has moved our membership and registration process online through the Clubforce website and app. You can access registration on the following link where you can also download the app. If you encounter any issues, feel free to contact us and we will be happy to talk you through the process. Skills Challenge We’re now on Week 3 of the skills challenge and once again the coaches were very impressed with the high standards displayed in Week 2 videos. Winners for week 2 are *Hurls* Alfie Hughes, Dylan Campbell, Aaron Gurn, Ronan Murphy. *Wristies* Eoin Dignam, Thomas Meegan, Danny Lacey, Max Sheehan. *Sliotars* Bobby Miller, Ellen Connolly, Donnchadh Sheehan, Dylan McHugh. The video for week 3 is available in the WhatsApp group, so get practising and send your video to David Connolly (U7/U9) or Benny Bolger (U11/U13) by Saturday evening at 6pm and you will enter a prize draw. Come on Camán again!!! Once again thanks to Colin Merrick for the skills demonstration, to Ruairi Farrell for the video, and to Kevin Moloney the co-ordinator – professionals to their finger tips. Photographs maybe you have a little more time on your hands at the moment to go through those biscuit tins piled high with old photos….the club are looking for photographs of the following winning teams, 1943, 1962, 1988, 1989 and 1994. Please contact David Connolly 086 2517407. Siamsa Challenge The Acorn Life sponsored “Farney Siamsa Challenge” is set to be launched next week. With Seachtaine na Gaeilge running from 1st to 17th March this Coiste would like to challenge all clubs and everyone in the community to get involved in some way. Monaghan is an amazing county for its culture and local history. Listed below are a few ways to get involved. Can we please stress that photos, videos be restricted to the household involved and that we all respect the Government guidelines on Covid. Households can take part in one or all of the following A. Song as Geailge no as Bearla B. Art, huge scope here, the theme can be GAA /March/ Gaeilge /St Patricks Day …. C. Tune D. Comhra (can be a good news story as Gaeilge or Sean Focail) E. Recitation F. Dance G. Local Heritage (Landmarks, Cures, Superstitions, Traditions in the Family, down memory lane etc) this can be text and photos or audio. Videos and recordings are to be max of 2 mins duration and any contributions can be submitted to David Connolly Cultural Officer 0862517407 with the name of the individuals involved.

Congratulations to our Physio, Noeleen Mulligan and her husband, Brian on the birth of their baby girl, Erin Josie. Congratulations also go to committee member, Paul Hughes who became a granda to twin boys during the week… you have your hands full there Paul!
