We had no winner of the lotto draw this week. The numbers drawn were 20, 21, 25 and 29. The lucky dip winners were Niall Martin, Mark McEntee, Paddy and Sheila and The Waring family. Each winner receives €30. The next draw will take place on Monday evening and will be for a jackpot of €2000.
The Lotto draw this week also include an extra draw for Christmas. The four lucky dip winners of €30 were Damien Freeman, Caoimhe Fitzsimons, Fiona Byrne and Gerard McAree.
The club would like to extend it’s deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the late Brendan McEnaney, Corduff, who passed away today. Brendan was grandfather to juvenile players Ryan and Aaron Jones, Caoimhe and Bronagh McEnaney and father-in-law of former player and selector Paul Jones.
May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
We all would like to wish Maureen Freeman all the best on the occasion of her 100th birthday this week! Congratulations Maureen on your birthday milestone.
The death of Vincent (Vinnie) Duffy, Moylough and Killark, marks the end of an era for Magheracloone Mitchells GFC. Vinnie was the last remaining link to the committee elected in 1946 to form one club to represent the entire parish. He was also actively involved in the establishment of the very first hurling club in Magheracloone in the same year. Vinnie was our guest of honour at a Gala Dinner held in 2016 to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the foundation of Magheracloone Mitchells. He was a fine footballer in his day and was an active club committee member during the nineteen fifties and sixties.
