Safe Club Initiative in Monaghan

Currin came 4th in a Safe Club Initiative, a Croke Park scheme that was designed to adopt a proactive approach towards health, safety and insurance issues in clubs in Monaghan. Well done to all the club members involved in this, especially Martina and Mark.

Many congratulations to Ellen McCarron who recently got engaged to Shane McQuillan. Also, our former player, Declan McCaffrey who got engaged to Andrea Colgan. Everyone at Currin GFC wishes you all the best in the future.

Monaghan GAA

Monaghan started the Dr. McKenna cup, Sunday 29th December, with a win over Derry in Inniskeen with a score of 1-17 to 0-14. Well done to Jack who came on and scored two points. They then played Donegal last Sunday, 5th January and unfortunately fell short and lost by one point. The score finished

1-12 to 0-14. Again, well done to Jack who had a great first half, scoring a hat-trick of points in the first half.

Committee Meeting

The next committee meeting will take place in the club rooms on January 8th at 8pm.
