Juvenile Credit Union League. There will be no Credit Union League this week due to county championships games.

Juvenile Coaching. Coaching is to continue as per set ups already arranged, keep an eye on “WhatsApp” and on all social media, we would also encourage the new beginners to come down in their spare time and get use to the alley and practise.

Mono League. The Mono League is running pretty smoothly so far, we have had a few injuries in the early stages of the league so make sure a sub is in place, NB if a sub is needed on the night they must be given at least 24 hours notice of the game!!!!!.

Handball Equipment. Can parents ensure all juveniles come with their goggles to training, these are a vital safety part of your gear, the club shop is open from 7:30pm til 8:30pm on Thursdays for all your handball equipment.

Membership. Can all outstanding membership be paid up ASAP as games are now starting and we want all paid to cover for insurance, 40 Euro per playing member, students 20 Euro, non-playing members and juveniles are 10 Euro.

Harps Handball

A fantastic display by Harps youngsters last weekend culminating in Calum Sherry, Josh Cassidy, Fergal Magee and Matas Sakalauskas reaching the county finals in December.
Calum and Josh will contest the under 12 County final while Fergal and Matas will contest the under 14 County final.
Of the 5 Harps players who entered the Under 12 championship, 3 exceeded expectations by reaching the semifinals.
Match of the day was a quarterfinal between Josh Cassidy and Myles Mc Meel. This was a thoroughly absorbing contest of an extremely high level between 2 gifted young players. Josh gave everything to win a thrilling match on a tiebreak.
Jake Cassidy, James Cunningham and Kristian Kumpis exceeded expectations with great performances.
Our 2 entrants in under 13 singles were Oskaras Andrilius and Robert Uskan. They performed very well and were pleased with their efforts and gained valuable experience.
All 4 of our entrants were involved in very close competitive battles in under 14.
Ethan Mc Carron and Oisín Mc Geown showed that they were there on merit and both played very well. It proves that practice makes all the difference. In a very competitive group Fergal Magee and Matas Sakalauskas were pushed all the way before reaching an All-Harps County final.
Good luck on Saturday to our players Jack Corrigan, Aidan Cunningham, Aidan Mc Geough, Szymon Poleski and Adrianz Kumpis. They must travel away to Truagh, Carrick and Bawn.
Good luck to our 3 girls also on Saturday. A tough assignment for our newcomers Gloria and Ernesta Marut and Niamh Mc Elwain.
Our adult team of Eoghan, Martin and Tiarnán had a convincing win against Tydavnet to reach the team semifinal.
Congratulations to Martin on his nomination as Volunteer of the Year at the Annual Awards in Croke Park on Saturday.
