Sean’s Notes

Our Championship ambitions evaporated on Saturday night last in Castleblayney. Aughnamullen extinguished the glimmering flame of hope which would have taken us to the next round . While the opening quarter was full of puff and bluster this slowly dwindled to a game which went through the motions. Aughnamullen took control and never let go of their lead. Our exit from the championship has confirmed our junior for status for next year. With that will come time to reflect and build again for a new and hopefully triumphant season.

U15 ‘s

Our U15’s exited their championship on Friday night last when Aghabog brought our trot to a halt. A wholehearted effort by the lads but alas it was not enough. Well done to the team and their coaches for gallant efforts all year and their commitment to the cause.

Sunday last concluded a very unsuccessful week of competitions for the club. Our U13 players took to an unusually large pitch in Latton to play Drumhowan in the championship semi final. It was a ding dong affair with some excellent patches of play and great scores that had the lead exchanged on numerous occasions. Unfortunately our committed display was not enough to overcome all the obstacles and we fell short by two points. A combination of exhaustion and devastation was apparent at the end. However the boys and coaches had gave their full commitment since November last year and their efforts will surely make them winners soon and receive a the little bit of silverware that they richly deserve.

Bingo continues each week with the biggest jackpots around. It cant be missed. Jackpots of €9300 and €16700 on 45 calls. Prizes and jackpots cannot be beaten anywhere.
