U7, U9, U11 and U13

All of these groups travelled to Redhills last Saturday morning. The U7s and U9s competed in a friendly and all children were rewarded at the presentation afterwards. Our U11/U12 groups participated in the Francie Donal memorial tournament and brought home the cup! This was a super achievement by a great bunch of boys and girls! Great work from joint captains on the day brother and sister Jo and Amy Clarke. We thank our hosts for a fantastic morning. Check out our facebook page to see all the images. Training will continue for these groups this Saturday. Coaches will be in touch with arrangements.

Hard luck to our U15s who are amalgamated with Killeevan (Patrick Sarsfields), on Sunday morning last in Threemilehouse. The lads put in a very good performance in the Championship semi-final against Monaghan Harps B team and the game was in the balance until the last few minutes. Hard luck lads but thanks for all the exciting games this year. Thank you also to the coaches Brian Molloy, Jason Quigley and Patrick McDonnell who mentored this group.

Our U17s who are amalgamated with Aghabog (Patrick Emmets) put in another superb performance last Tuesday in front of a great crowd in St Tiarnach’s Park in Clones when they overcame St Tiarnach Sarsfields. Patrick Emmets got a goal from the throw in and led from then to the end. The game flowed from end to end but Patrick Emmets were more clinical with their chances and secured the win, despite two late goals from St Tiarnach’s Sarsfields. The game finished 3-17 to 3-11. This group next play in the Div 3 semi-finals against Tyholland. Fixture to be confirmed but it will be 27th or 28th September.

Ladies GAA

Well done to Currin’s Megan Agnew (Captain) and Shannon Murphy who were on the Aghabog Ladies Team that won the U16 Double last weekend. The girls won the U16 Division 2 league and topped this off by winning the Division 2 Championship against Magheracloone. Well done on a hugely successful year to the team and management including Ellen McCarron who was selecto
