Greenfield Senior Football Championship

Clontibret 0-13, Ballybay 0-12.  We advanced to the semi-final of the senior championship with a hard fought win over Ballybay in Blayney on Saturday afternoon last. Starting without Conor Boyle and losing Vinny Corey to an early injury unsettled the first half but the lads dug deep in the second half to carve out a precious victory. We now await the winners of Truagh/Latton for a semi-final clash the first weekend in October. There was a huge turnout at the SFC double header at O’Neill Park on Sunday when Blayney lost to Latton followed by Scotstown and Truagh in a thriller which was only decided on penalties. Well done to all who did such trojan work to cater seamlessly for the large crowd with many favourable comments from patrons on the immaculate condition of the pitch and grounds.

Shoe City Senior League

The last league game is due to be played against Inniskeen on Sunday  22nd September at 12.30pm at O’Neill Park.

U13 Final

Hard luck to the boys on losing out to a physically stronger Scotstown team on Saturday morning. We’re very proud of the team and management on reaching the Division 1 final. These players can look forward to much success in the future as they have their standards set high. Well done boys and thanks to their management of Damien Moen, Kieran Leonard, Jimmy Sullivan, Fintan Brennan and Conor McManus for their work and guidance throughout the year.
U17 Semi-Final
Best of luck to the boys and management as we take on Corduff in the semi-final in Doohamlet on Saturday at 3pm. Get out in numbers and get behind the boys.
