Lotto:  There was no winner of last week’s Jackpot Prize of €4600.  The numbers drawn were 4, 7, 15 and 16.  There were 4 Match 3 Winners:  Patsy and Mary Donoghue, Roisin McKenna, Kathleen Kelly, Knockatallon, and Johnny Skinnader.  Sellers’ Prizes:  Weekly – Scarna, Yearly – Club.  Next week’s Jackpot Prize €4700.  The lotto draw takes place at 10.30pm sharp every Sunday Night, any lottos received after the draw takes place will be deferred until the following week’s draw.  Lotto can now be done online – go to truagh.club to see details

Hurling: Hard luck to our Senior Hurlers who put up a gallant display in the County Final against a well drilled Castleblayney outfit.  Congratulations to ‘Blayney on a deserving win and well done to the Gaeil Triucha Squad and Management for all their hard work throughout the season.  Thanks also to everyone who turned out in such large numbers for their support.
Senior Hurliing 7’s Competition takes place this Sat 10th Aug in St Mellans from 3pm.  Clubs from all over Ulster and beyond taking part.  Check social media for fixtures.

Ladies: U10. Well done to all who took part in our blitz on  Saturday morning padt. Thanks to Aughnamullen, Emyvale and Scotstown for traveling down to take part. Great display of football from all the girls.
Training continues this Thursday 7-8pm.
U12: Have two games at home this week when they take on Scotstown on Wednesday  and Corduff on Friday 7:00pm.
Minors: Game against Killanny was cancelled due to minor All Ireland final and will be rescheduled.
Training continues as arranged by coaches.
The Senior Ladies finally got their first victory of the season. It was a tense encounter against Killanny in the reserve league. Leading at half time , the Truagh ladies played valiantly despite conceding some scores early in the second half. They managed some scores and maintained the lead to the final whistle. Well done to All involved.This games was sponsored by D’s CAKES.
The management would like to thank All the Ladies for their contribution throughout the season, to medic, Eilis,coaches Shane and Brian and to everyone else who contributed in any way as this was their last game for this season.

St Mellans Handball:  Lough WallBall Competition:  There were several Monaghan players that made the finals within different grades at the Lough Wallball competition in Loughmacrory a few weekends ago most notably was our very own Dermot Boyle.  Dermot entered in the Men’s C Section and progressed to the final where he was pipped at the post by Dara Cloake from Wexford on a scoreline of 25-14, hard luck but well done Dermot on reaching the final.
Congratulations:  A big congrats to our Club Chairman Christopher McKenna as he got married last Friday, well done Christopher & Shauneen on their big day from all in the club and wishing you both all the very best in the future.
