Sean’s Notes

Our preliminary round of the championship against Monaghan Harps last Sunday failed to ignite the enthusiasm of the travelling support. A bright first half off movement and quick scores by both sides gave the Seans a one point lead at the break. However after the interval the Harps tagged on a few points which gave them breathing space. With injuries coming fast in the second period our momentum was somewhat stifled. That said a couple of goal chances went a begging in the closing quarter which could have put a different complexion on the final result. In the end the Harps secured their front door spot in the championship and we will regroup to tackle the back door route.

Bon Voyage

The Club would like to wish David McEntee all the best as he heads for Dubai and a new career. David has been a great servant to many teams through all age groups and hopefully it wont be too long until he is back in the Seans colours again.

Match Day Sponsor

The club wishes to thank John Mc Nally of JMN Taxis for sponsoring our championship match on Sunday. Johns taxi and minibus hire is available locally and beyond. We would also like to wish John all the best in his new limousine business.

The U13 squad secured their first win in the Div.3/4 championship group stages on Friday night last. They overcame Blayney Faughs ‘B’ in Rockcorry. A strong solid performance by the lads and they now head into a quarter final fixture at home to Eire Og on Saturday at 12 noon.
