Senior League! Emmets defeated Doohamlet in the last home game of the league in Emmet Park at the weekend. After conceding two goals after the thrown-in they successfully chawed their way back into the game and by half time they were leading by 2-10 to 2-02. It was a one-sided second half as Emmets scored at continuous regularity while the visitors struggled with their game. At the final whistle it was Emmets 4-20 O’Neills 2-04. With two games remaining against Castleblayney and Scotstown the table makes interesting reading with a host of teams still in with a chance of making the top four. Emmets lie in third position six-points behind Ballybay and two behind Clontibret but two ahead of Scotstown; with ten points at stake it will be tight at the top!
