Fixtures: The U15s are away to Clones this Thursday evening at 7-00. The Reserves are away to Magheracloone in Kingscourt on Friday evening at 7-45. The U11s are home on Saturday with games against Monaghan at 12 and 1.00.
Results: The U15s were in action on Thursday evening and can count themselves desperately unlucky to have been beaten by Tyholland in a truly end to end affair. The lads gave a brilliant display and battled back a number of times from behind to take the lead, unfortunately a goal deep into injury time was to clinch it for the visitors. This was a hard defeat to accept having played so well but the lads should take great heart from their battling display. The U13s were in action on Saturday and suffered their first defeat of the campaign at the hands of visitors Truagh. The seniors were also to suffer their first defeat of the league in a closely contested game against Corduff on Saturday evening in Donaghmoyne. The visitors took the lead early on with a couple of free kicks before Donaghmoyne started to find their rhythm. A well worked attack saw David Garland dragged down in the box and James McCaghey converted the penalty, further scores from play would see Donaghmoyne take a 3 point lead but by half time both teams were down to 14 men and the scores were level 1-3 to 6 points the majority of Corduff scores coming from free kicks. The second half continued in much the same vain with Donaghmoyne taking some excellent scores only to be pegged back by a succession of well executed frees from Corduff. In the dying seconds the sides were level before a Donaghmoyne attack broke down and a scrappy ball on the sideline resulted in a corduff free which was converted to give the visitors the win
Monaghan U17s: Well done to the Monaghan U17s and particularly our own Liam McDonald, Declan Courtney and David Kerley on winning their Ulster Championship tie away to Antrim on Saturday last.
