Results: The seniors gave a dominant display against Sean McDermott’s in the first home game of the Intermediate League. Playing with a slight wind advantage in the first half Donaghmoyne were quick out of the blocks are were 3 points up after 5 minutes with scores from David Garland, Aaron Courtney and James McCaghey. Two more points from McCaghey and Courtney left it 5-0 after 14 minutes. Seans registered their first point prior to Joe Kelly scoring the first of his two goals following a scramble in the Seans box. Donaghmoyne pushed on with further points from Garland, Courtney, McCaghey, Fergal Keenan and Darren McElroy to leave the score 1-12 to 2 points at the interval. The second half saw Seans take same early scores only to be pegged back by another Joe Kelly goal. Further scores were exchanged with Garland, Courtney, McCaghey, Kelly and McElroy all scoring points to see Donaghmoyne run out comfortable winners 2-17 to 11 points. There was disappointment for the U17s in their first game of the League when they were beaten away to Emyvale. A depleted Fontenoys squad led for a good part of the game but came up short in the final quarter.
