Lotto:  There was no winner of last week’s Jackpot Prize of €1000.  The numbers drawn were 8, 13, 24 and 25.  There were 5 Match 3 Winners – Shay McKenna, Cavancope, Barry McKenna, c/o Jack’s, Barry Treanor ( Francis), Stephen Treanor, Derrylevick, and Trisha McCarey, Lisvargy.  Sellers’ Prizes: Weekly – Joe McMeel, Yearly – Josie Brady.  Next week’s Jackpot Prize €1200.    The lotto draw takes place at 10.30pm sharp every Sunday Night, any lottos received after the draw takes place will be deferred until the following week’s draw.  Lotto can now be done online – go to truagh.club to see details

Irish  Conversational Classes:  In conjunction with Muineachan Le Gaeilge Irish Classes will take place in St Mellans this Fri 8th Feb for 10 weeks.  Cost €35 for Adults, €25 for OAP and Students.  Contact Noel Flood for details (0877095252) or e-mail nollaig@mig.ie

Juveniles:  Under 9 training will start in Emyvale Leisure Centre on Monday 18th February at 7pm.

Ladies:  First Aid Course is arranged for Saturday  16th February & 9th March. 2 groups of 8. 10am to 3pm. Content:  Basic first aid – sports related. Free to parents, coaches and senior players on a first come basis. Limited spaces.

Operation Transformation:  We’re on board with RTE Operation Transformation and the GAA for Ireland Lights Up. Every Thursday from the 17th January – 21st February 2019 the walking track will be lit up for you, your family and friends to come and walk from 7pm to 9pm.  Our two walking leaders are Frank McKenna and Noleen McCrudden.  Anyone taking part in Ireland Lights Up will have to sign in.

Handballl:  Juvenile Ulster Championships. This weekend our juvenile county representatives go into battle in Ulster Championships, we have numerous players both in boys & girls from the club pulling on the White & Blue, in the U12 boys Singles Donnacha Mc Cluskey will be presenting the county where he will play Charlie Mc Cormack from Cavan in Carrickmore on Sunday at 1pm, also in Carrickmore @ 2:30pm Ronan Boyle & Ryan Harnet will fly the White and blue as they play a Down pairing of White & Fegan in the U17 Doubles, then over to Loughmacrory where John Treanor & Peter Treanor will play Mc Kenna & Mc Crystal from Cavan in the U14 boys Doubles @ 1:30, then finally our last representatives of the day are the U15 boys doubles where Jake Mc Geough and Mark Deery will play Smith & Flynn also from Cavan in Breacach @ 2:30, good luck to all taking part at the weekend, we hopefully will have as many boys as possible joining the girls on the finals weekend in Kingscourt on Saturday the 23rd, Aoibhinn Mc Cluskey and Fiona Flood are straight in the girls U14 Ulster Doubles final as is to Sarah Lavery and Eythna Boyle in the girls U16 Ulster Doubles final where both sets will be facing Down opposition, names TBC, good luck to all our county reps, Up the Farney!!!
Adult Club Singles. The Club Adult singles are almost down at semi-final stages, there are a few games to finished so please ensure all outstanding games are played this weekend, the doubles will follow shortly.
Registration Fee. Can all players please ensure that they have paid their membership in full as you insurance runs out at the end of January and you will be “uninsured” from then onwards.
