Monaghan Electrical Intermediate League Final: It’s the season finale for the seniors as they bid to take the league title on Saturday evening. Having overcome Currin at the semi-final stage Donaghmoyne now face Doohamlet in the final in Inniskeen on Saturday evening at 6.00, please come along and support the lads as they bid to take the league title and regain senior status. Best of luck to all the players and management.

U17s: There was disappointment for the Under 17s in the division 1 semi-final in Donaghmoyne on Sunday Morning. A large crowd were treated to an end to end high scoring game which was played out in perfect conditions. Donaghmoyne started the game well and raced into an early lead but midway through the first half Latton struck two quick fire goals to take the lead. Latton continued to dominate exchanges in the first half and Donaghmoyne were forced to dig deep to score a goal to keep themselves in the game at the interval. Latton extended their lead at the start of the second half but Donaghmoyne were not going down without a fight. With the wind at their backs the Fontenoys piled the pressure on the Latton defence and overturned a six point deficit to draw level with 10 minutes to go. As Donaghmoyne continued to press a number of chances to regain the lead were spurned and with the clock winding down Latton broke out and scored a goal which would prove to be decisive. The home side continued to press but were unable to get back on terms losing out on a score line of 2-17 to 3-17. Commiserations to the players and management on just falling short after playing some excellent football all season.

U16s: The U16 squad travel to Dromore County Tyrone to represent Monaghan in the Paul McGirr U16 Ulster Championship. Donaghmoyne will take on Tyrone champions Carrickmore in the Quarter final this Saturday at 12:00. Best of luck lads all support welcome.

Juvenile AGM: The juvenile AGM will take place on Wednesday November 7th at 8.00 pm in the club rooms. Please come along and get involved with the grass roots of the club.

Ladies: Congratulations to the senior ladies on winning another Ulster championship last Saturday another great achievement.

Pitch Development: The new pitch development is progressing well and anyone driving by Donaghmoyne will be suitably impressed by the scale and quality of the works undertaken. The Pitch, track and warm up areas will be a great facility for all the parish in the not too distant future.

Recent Deaths: The club would like to extend its sympathies to the family and friends of the late Bernard McGahon Inniskeen.
