Corduff Handball Notes
Juvenile Training
Juvenile training continues to grow strong with over thirty juveniles training in four groups on Wednesday’s at 7-8pm and Friday’s 7-9pm for 8-16 year old.Parents will be informed of their child’s group or any changes to times by text message each week.Juvenile membership is €10 and €2 per training session.

Members Singles league
Our singles 40×20 league is into its fourth week with fifty two members in five different groups from beginner to senior levels taking part.Please contact your opponent beforehand to confirm the fixture.Make sure to text Aidan Marron or Ciarán Brennan with the results of each game in order to keep the league tables up to date.Best of luck to all taking part.

St.Mellans Handball Club

Juvenile Structures.  We had to make a few changes to the juvenile coaching times to facilitate a few players, so the following times have been allocated, Monday evenings 7-8pm for boys ‘07,’08, Tuesday evenings 7-8pm boys ’05,’06, Wednesday evenings 7-8pm, Thursday evenings 7-8pm beginners ’09 and younger and after that @ 8pm girls ’08 and older, we hope that these times will suit players and parents better, also can any parents that still have any concerns on timing issues or anything else please talk to the coach in charge.

Juvenile Blitz. The juvenile blitz that we were hoping to hold in the coming weeks has been postponed until further notice.

Mono League.  The Mono League will commence play Monday night the 5th of November so this is “last chance saloon” for anyone wanting to play in it, so get your name to Brendy or Christopher PJ ASAP, registration will have to be paid when the league commences, 40 Euro fee for the year.

Coaching Course. We are holding a coaching course for the development of coaching within the club and county, this is open to anyone willing to learn a bit more about the game and the aspects of coaching our ancient code, this will take place on Saturday the 10th of November so we would ask everyone to consider attending.

Table Quiz. We have our annual Table Quiz provisionally booked to take place in St.Mellans Complex on Friday night the 16th on November, more details closer to the time.

Croke Park Annual Draw 2019. The handball club have The Croke Park Annual Draw tickets in circulations now, at 10 euro each they are real bargain, all monies goes in to the club, thanks to everyone who have always and continue to support the club in anyway.

Committee Meeting. Our next committee meeting will be held on Tuesday the 30th of October @ 8:30pm.

Monaghan Harps Handball Club

Juvinelle 
Training continues on Monday evenings from 6.30-8pm at the complex there was a great turnout this week and we would welcome any parents that could give a hand. Training for 14-16 teens continues Wednesday night 8-9pm and on Sunday morning there is an open ages from 10-12. Please ensure you have your goggles and gloves you are not covered to play without goggles.
Congratulations to Eoghan McGinnity on winning the colleges 60×30 intermediate All-Ireland title last weekend in a two game thriller over Kilkennys Billy Drennan. Well done to Konrad Kowal/Justas Dumbinkas in the boys senior doubles loosing out to a strong Castlecomer duo.
County Championships
The county championships start Saturday the 3rd with The Harps hosting the U12 Boys all entries should be in to Martin McEntee to ensure fixtures are fulfilled. U13 & U14 shall be in St.Mellans on the 10th of November. Anyone that would be free to help on those weekends it would be much appreciated.
The week of the 17th there will be no juvenile games due to the Golden Gloves competition in Belfast but hopefully the following week of the 24th all will resume with the Tydavnet Handball Club hosting the U15`s, Bawn hosting  the U16`s and Corduff hosting the U17`s competition. An update shall be in the Standard next week to confirm all venues.
County Handball Meeting
There was a meeting last Tuesday night in Cloghan where it was decided that regrading would need to take place for all senior players and a new format to the county championship drawn up. All clubs are asked to have their members in for the next meeting on the 6th November.
