Senior Club Championship Final: Ballybay 0-13 Scotstown 1-13
It was an unhappy ending to a good championship campaign as Ballybay ended up losing the final by a three point margin. The going was tough for the first few minutes as the Ballybay men tried to get a grip on the game as Scotstown settled early. Mark Mc Ardle made his mark on the contest early on with a well taken point. Shane Mc Guinness scored a few minutes later but the score was 0-07 to 0-04 to Scotstown by this stage with them dominating the direction of the game going into half time. Half time score was 0-08 to 0-04. Aaron Toner took a great point early in the 2nd half but Scotstown were ahead at that stage by three points. By the 55th minute Scotstown had a strangle hold on the game and lead 1-12 to 0-10. Ballybay fought hard at the end but even 6 minutes of added time was not enough and the Pearse Brothers ended up the losing side by a scoreline of 1-13 to 0-13.
