Club Lotto
We had no winner of this week’s jackpot, the four numbers picked were 7, 14, 23 and 28. Jim Jones, Shane Hand, Jamsie Burns and Sean Marron each win €50 from the Lucky Dip draw. Next week’s jackpot is for €1900 and the draw will take place in the club rooms on Monday evening. You can do the lotto via the usual outlets and online at www.magheracloonemitchells.ie
Cardiac Screening
Magheracloone GFC will host a Cardiac Screening day in Treacys Hotel on Saturday June 30th from 9:30am to 4pm. The cost is €65 per person. It is free with LAYA Health Insurance. Book online at www.ameds.ie and follow the link. Clinic code is Mitchells. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. This is open to everybody not just club members. Approximately two young people die per week in Ireland from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome. Your health is your wealth.
Sympathy
The Club would like to extend its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the late Bridie Martin. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
Seniors
Our seniors recovered well from their defeat to Carrick last week as they defeated Inniskeen by three points on Saturday evening. Two first half goals by David Kirk and Paudie Kirk looked to have settled Magheracloone well into the game but not to be outdone by their opponents, Inniskeen rallied with two goals of their own just before half time leaving the Mitchells just one point ahead going in at the break. Points were exchanged quickly at the start of the second half with Inniskeen soon going ahead. This was short lived as Magheracloone got to grips with the remainder of the second half and finished off the game with scores from Alan McCahey, Paudie Kirk, Liam Óg Murray and Pete Ward. Next up for our seniors are Blayney away on June 29th.
Reserves
Our reserves played Latton last week and defeated them on a scoreline of 1-15 to 2-10. This was a must win game for the reserves and they rose to the challenge as expected. Magheracloone defended very well in the latter stages and Latton will rue their missed chances on goal towards the end. Well done lads. Best wishes to Sean Marron who sustained a mouth injury on the night. Next game is against Truagh away on Sunday at 12:30pm.
U15’s
The U15’s play Emyvale at home on Wednesday evening at 7pm. Please support.
U11’s
Our U11’s continue in the Liam Stirrat Development League on Friday evening at 8pm in Magheracloone against Aughnamullen, best of luck lads.
U9’s
Training continues Thursday evening from 7pm to 8pm.
U7’s
Well done to our U7’s who once again entertained all the spectators at half time of the senior match against Inniskeen. Improvements can be seen from the last game and hopefully by the end of the season the bibs will fit the boys! Thank you to the coaches and the parents making it happen.
