Aidan McGeough (Monaghan) & Ewan Hynes (Galway) took to court 5 in the B13&U Doubles. There first game was tight winning 12-9 but as they moved into their second the pairing found form with Aidan serving hard and killing the ball well and Ewan showing great composure winning easily 20-4 to a Tyrone/Galway pairing. In the semi final they met a formidably Galway/Kilkenny pairing but McGeough/Hynes where determined not to fail taking out the opposition 17-5 in a game that Aidan/Ewan showed great kill shots serving and returning of the ball. The final was a tough draw seeing a pairing of Dara O`Leary (Galway) / Noah Bourke (Kilkenny) meet the Monaghan/Galway duo. The game started as expected point for point with nothing between the pairings with Bourke keeping Aidan/Ewan under pressure, but in the 7th minute McGeough stepped up to another gear pulling off a kill shot to end the Galway/Kilkenny serve. Aidan served taking two points without answer only to loose service, Ewan took serve dropping the ball deep in the court to be returned only for Aidan to finish the game 13-10 with a kill shot.
