U21 County Final
Dermot Boyle played Killian Sherry of Tydavnet in the U21 County final Thursday past in the Harps, this was a game of not 2 halves but 3 “Thirds”, Dermot started of a bit nervous and never got to settle and lost the first 21-8, but after a short break and a bit of “off court” advice then began a good rhythm of serving down to Killian right side and this more than proved fruitful as he won 21-0, but the 3rd game Dermot tried to replicate that but his serve just wasn’t going as well and Killian took control and won it 21-7, hard luck Dermot but a valiant effort,

Cumann na mBunscol.
Fiona Flood took part in the All Ireland series of Cumann na mBunscol in Kingscourt Saturday past, in her U13 singles section she faced Katie Ni Dhonnchadha from Galway representing Scoil Ronain, this was a shared game 15-13, 13-15, Fiona also faced Jodie Keeling from Glynn NS Co.Wexford, she was an excellent handballer but Fiona done well and got 5 and 7 points of her, her Munster opponent was Leanne Gould Ardroney NS Co.Tipperary, Fiona battled well but lost both 15-4, 15-6, definitely a brilliant performance all round from her, and to make this stage was a great achievement.

Thank you. We hosted juveniles from all over Ulster Sunday past in the complex as they prepared for their All Ireland Semi-finals in Cork next weekend, it was great to see this initiative been forwarded by the Ulster Council, a big thank you must got Anna-Rose Mc Clave who prepared refreshments for the young players, parents and mentors, it went down a treat as always does Anna-Rose’s cooking, again thank you.
