Sean’s Notes

Seniors

Our penultimate league game took us to Monaghan Harps on Sunday afternoon. With nothing at stake it was an opportunity for the squad members to feature. It was a good old tussle for much of the game however the Harps edged a lead and late in the first half and never looked back. There was a freakishly large amount of blood injuries over the course of the game and a couple of players had to withdraw as a result. Ashleigh , Ryan and Pauric were all in the wars and they kept Aiden Mc Entee busy mopping up the spills. Our league will conclude with a home game to Corduff in two weeks.

Ladies U10’s

Well done to the players and coaches who represented the club in Croke Park on Sunday last at the Ladies Football Final. The U10’s won the right to play at half time with their very special promotional video. A great day for all and memories to cherish for the team and their families.

Sympathy

The club was plunged into shock and disbelief this week with the sudden and untimely death of Noel Melvin. Noel has had numerous involvements with the club over the years and was well known and respected in a myriad of sporting fields. The club would like to offer sincere sympathies to Kathy, Marc and Sophie at this difficult time.

The club would also like to offer sympathy to the Hurson family from Smithboro on the recent passing of Danny Hurson.
