U13’s Championship Final

Hard luck to the U13 team who went defeated by Drumhowan in the Division 4 Championship final on Saturday past in Aughnamullen. A strong breeze which favoured the Geraldines in the first half seen them take in a comfortable lead at the break, and while Rockcorry fought valiantly to the end, they just could not make an impression on the scoreboard. This panel of players have come on leaps and bounds this year and are to be commended for reaching the decider and for never giving up until the final whistle, something that was noted by supporters from both clubs after the game was over. There is still plenty of competition for this group before finishing up with the Terence O’Reilly cup up for grabs as well as a tournament with another local club. Details will follow when confirmed. Thank you also to the massive support that attended the final and cheered on the team right to the end.

U15’s

It was hard luck also for the U15’s as they suffered a defeat at the hands of Aghabog in the Division 4 championship semi final.

U17’s

The U17’s are the last of the teams in championship action as they contest the Division 4 semi final this Saturday evening when they face Doohamlet at 5pm. Best of luck to all involved. A venue was not confirmed when going to print.
