Seniors

What a difference 2 halves make. Down by 12 points and get back to within three, in a much improved second half but unfortunately, it was a step too far this time around. The Seniors lost to Blackhill and now go through the back door with a game against Eire Og this Sunday in Scotstown.

There were far too many wayward passes and wides in this game to do them a whole season but credit to them they gave it a lash in the second half, but it wasn’t to be. They need to get focused now on Sunday as this is last chance saloon.

Clones: Christopher Cadden, Paul Shiels, Ben Daly, Fintan Kelly, Luke Reihill, Cameron Dowd, Ryan Rooney 1-1, James Mealiff, Fabian Beggan, Darragh Holland 0-1, Colm Connolly 0-1, Daniel Connolly, Adrian Alford 0-4 (3f), Darren Freeman 1-6 (0-2f), Sarto Quigley. Subs: Eythan Audley for F Kelly, Matthew Reihill for D Connolly, Emmet McEntee for D Holland, Cian O’Connor for S Quigley.

Under 13’s

These boys exited the championship last Saturday after a defeat to Emyvale. Clones just not big enough in a lot of areas and the boys were made pay by conceding 3 or 4 goals in the first half. The boys kept plugging away but at this level goals win matches. Final Score was 7-15 to 2-13. Many thanks to the management team of Ciaran Mulhall, Colin McCaughey and Fintan Kelly for their effort all year and the whole squad who put in a lot of hard hours on the training field.
