Seniors

What a difference a week makes and never truer than the performance that the lads put in on Sunday against Eire Og. Straight from the off and with direct play got a goal from Sarto Quigley and then points from Colm Connolly and James Mealiff set them up very nicely. It was a quality first half all round and the half time score of 1-16 to 0-04 showed the dominance that Clones had in that first half. The second half wasn’t as free flowing and with a number of substitutions it was a more even affair. Final Score was 1-22 to 0-07. Next up is Blackhill in Clontibret on Saturday at 5.30pm in the championship. Good luck to them and hopefully a large crowd will be out to cheer them on.

Under 15’s

This group of lads exited the championship last Thursday against Clontibret and in doing so ended their season. The boys were second best on the night and it ended a season that should be looked at as a very successful one. Winning the Division 2 League and getting to the quarter final of the Division 1 championship. Well done to them and James Kierans and Adi Alford for looking after this group this year.

Under 13’s

These boys have a championship Semi Final this Saturday in Scotstown at 12pm against Emyvale. The very best of luck to them.

Under 11’s

This group of boys ended their season last Saturday with a victory against Oram at home. They played some fantastic football and took some great scores. Well done to Matthew McCaughey who won the skills award which was presented by All Star Rory Beggan.

Under 7’s/9’s

The 7’s and 9’s will be training on Wednesday’s at 6 on Coyles Pitch at The Peace Link. Always looking for new faces to join.

Best Wishes

The club would like to wish both Ben Quinn and Martin Connolly a speedy recovery from their recent illness.
