C.L.G. SEAN MAC DIARMADA
Emyvale were our midweek opposition in what was the unfinished game resulting from the thunder and lightning escapade. The rematch did not fail to entertain and it was a hum-dinger from the off. The Seans started brightly with the first score, however the visitors settled into a rhythm and edged in front and eventually took a three point lead to the break. However little did we know that Emyvale would be held to scoring only one point in the second half. A strong performance by the team moved them up and down the field, breaking up attacks and making scores with confidence. They turned a three point deficit into a four point win , 2-12 t0 1-11, in great second half display. A few big games to come and hopefully big results.

The U15 squad had a championship home game against Monaghan Harps on Thursday night. With a couple of injuries and absentees they were at full stretch from the start. However this did not deter them and they rolled out an impressive first half performance where the dominated for long periods. As the game went on the Harps began to turn the screw and their continued pressure yielded a couple of goals which gave them the drive to run out victors. Hard luck to the lads but great effort.
