Emyvale GAA Club Notes for Thursday 29th August 2019

Best of luck and happiness to everyone starting the new term of primary and secondary school.

Seniors fell short against a strong Sean Mc Dermotts team on Wednesday last in the league. Next up is home game v Thyholland this Saturday with throw in time of 6pm. Come up and show your support to the lads.

U7’s training as usual on Wednesday evenings.

U9’s hosted their last go games blitz of the season on Saturday morning in Tully. For some of these players this will have been their last GoGames as they will move up to U11’s next year. Hopefully everyone learned from and enjoyed the Go Games ethos of participation and enjoyment. Training continues Wednesday and Friday evenings.

U11’s training Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7:15pm. Well done to the 10 players who travelled to Gowna blitz last Saturday. Next game is at home to Drumhowan in our last round of the Liam Stirrat development league.

U13 Congratulations to the members of our U13 squad who got invited to play at the Clogher Eire Og u12.5 7 a side tournament last Saturday. A huge effort in the group stage winning all their games saw the team quality for the cup , which they went on to defeat Ballinderry in the cup final to become tournament cup winners. On Monday evening our division 6 team played Clontibret in the knockout phase of the championship. An exciting game that never disappointed but eventually Emyvale won out by 2 points. A superb effort from the entire squad. Training Monday and Thursdays.

U15’s played Drumhowan last Thursday evening in the third round of the Championship round robin games. It was all level at half time, but Drumhowan proved too strong in the second half winning on a scoreline if 7-14 vs 4-12. We now play in the Division 3 Championship quarter final on Thursday 5th September, the venue and opposition are still to be confirmed.

U-17’s Training continues Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7.00 – 8.30pm on Tully ; in preparations for the up and coming 2019 u17 division 1 & 2 football championship. We are in group 2 along with Scotstown and Toome. Our first championship game is away to Toome Tuesday evening August 27th.
