DrumhowanClubNotes

August 27th, 2019

JFL- We had a win against Toome on Sunday last with a final score 1-13 to 13 points. We play Killeevan at home this Friday 30th August at 7pm.

U17s- Our U17s had a win against Inniskeen on Tuesday last. Final score 5-12 to 3-9. We face Harps tonight, Tuesday 27th in Drumhowan at 7.15pm.

U15s- Our U15s had a good win against Emyvale in the championship last Thursday. Quarter final will now take place on Thursday 5th September in Drumhowan. Opposition is not yet known.

U13s- U13 Championship Quarter Final Drumhowan 1-11 Castleblayney 1-5. What a battle in the heat in resplendent mc Keown Park on Sunday morning. Every ball and possession was fought tooth and nail like lives depending on it in a physical contest. With 5 minutes to go it looked like the bigger stronger Blayney side would win out as they led by a point. However, the Drumhowan boys stepped up and rattled off 1-4 in the closing minutes to emerge winners. Well done boys and hard luck to a gallant Blayney side. Our semi-final will take place Saturday 7th September. Opposition is not yet known.

Bon Voyage- to Gabriel Duffy who heads back to the Big Apple this week. He has been training with the boys for the past month and we hope he enjoyed his time. Hopefully we will see him back in Drumhowan colours in the near future

U11s- Our U11s play away to Emyvale this Saturday 30th August at 1pm.

Friends of Drumhowan- Could everyone please ensure that Friends of Drumhowan membership has been paid/collected this week. Our All-Ireland Football Final tickets draw will be taking place on Thursday and membership must be paid to be entered into the draw. Please give all membership money to Philip or John before next week.

Coffee Morning- Please support Clodagh McEntee’s coffee morning fundraiser for St Lukes Hospital in Clodagh’s house in Knockamaddy this Saturday 31st August from 10am till 3pm.

Committee Meeting- The next Club Executive meeting will take place this Thursday 29thAugust at 8.30pm. The draw for the All-Ireland Final tickets will take place then.
