FC- Drumhowan just did about enough last Friday night the 16th of August in Páirc Grattan Inniskeen to advance to the next round when they beat Oram by a single point after extra time. Despite errors on both sides the supporters present were left on the edge to the bitter end. Final score after extra time was 1-14 to 3-7. Team was: Enda Duffy, Darren Duffy 0-1, Owen Quinn 1-0, Niall Mooney, Niall Duffy 0-1, Liam Mc Guirk, Aiden Quinn, John Paul O’ Neill, Kieran Mc Elroy, Daragh Mc Elearney, Kevin Mooney 0-2, Patrick Quinn 0-3, David Millar 0-1, Anthony Mulligan, Colm Lambe 0-5 (5f) Subs 1st half: Aidan Duffy for Anthony Mulligan 2nd half: Christopher Mc Ginnity for Niall Mooney, Barry Mc Guirk for Kieran Mc Elroy Extra Time: Patrick Mulligan for Liam Mc Guirk, Ciaran Duffy 0-1 for Aidan Duffy, Mark Mc Cabe for Daragh Mc Elearney. U11s- Our U11s had a good win V Harps in the Development League on Saturday last with a final score of Drumhowan 0-30, Harps 0-12. The team played their first match on our top pitch on over a year and what a performance. Brilliant scores, link play, defending and skill were all on display. A wind assisted Drumhowan as we ran into a considerable early lead. The Harps boys turned it on in the third period and it took a strong defensive play to hold them out. A great performance by everyone.

History made in Drumhowan- History was made in Drumhowan on Saturday last when the Monaghan GAA Championship match between Rockcorry and Aghabog ended in a penalty shootout after the match finished level after extra time. The first ever time this happened in Monaghan GAA Championships. Thanks to all club members who helped out on the day.
