Senior team had a comfortable win in their final league game against a depleted Mattock Rangers side on Monday evening. The team have now qualified for the league semi-final this Thursday against Truagh at 7pm

Kilmacud 7’s On Saturday last, we entered a team in the annual Kilmacud 7s hurling tournament. The lads won their opening two group games against Fr Murphy’s from London and Omagh St Enda’s to set up a mouth watering decider with Setanta from Donegal to determine who would top the group and qualify for the semi final. Unfortunately a very harsh early red card made it very difficult on the lads and we ended up losing out for top spot. Our performances on the day however meant that we had done enough to earn a semi final spot as the best runners up. In the semi final we faced Crotta O’Neills from Kerry and in a very tight game the sides finished level. A penalty shootout was held to find a winner and unfortunately our lads narrowly lost out. Crotta went on to win the final with a convincing 14 point victory leaving the Blayney lads to wonder what might have been! Well done to the lads who as always represented their club with pride and distinction. Kilmacud 7s panel; Paddy Collins, Peter Treanor, Hugh Byrne, Cormac McNally, Paddy Finnegan, Colin Merrick, Fergal Rafter, Brian McGuigan, Eoin Leonard, Aidan Kerr
