Castleblayney Hurling Club Notes 1st August 2019

Senior Championship The Senior team is busy preparing for next Mondays county final versus Truagh at Clontibret (throw in 3.30pm). This is a novel pairing as Truagh contest their first ever senior final – testament to the efforts of the club to promote hurling in their area. Blayney however will hope to repeat last years county final success – the first leg of an odyssey that led all the way to Croke Park and an All Ireland Final. Please come along and support the team and management – all those hats and flags need a good airing by now! Also thanks again to our main Sponsor McMahons Supervalu for the continued support.

Croke Park Go-Games Well Done to Bríon Sherry and Alfie Hughes who represented the club in the Go-Games at half time in Croke Park on a terrific weekend of Hurling, Bríon lining out for Limerick on Saturday eve and Alfie who lined out for Tipperary on Sunday. Proud day for the lads, their families, their schools and our club!

Juvenile Training schedule is as follows:

The Club’s Children’s Officer is Mary McArdle, 087 2394240
