Carrick 2-16 Inniskeen 2-12

On Thursday last Carrick togged out in Emmet Park knowing a win is a must to stay in the championship.
A man of the match performance was needed by all players if they where to overcome Inniskeen who they haven’t beaten in the championship for a number of years.
Carrick seen themselves trailing early in the first half as the away team got an early goal followed by some unanswered points. As the pace started to quicken the home side felt more in there comfort zone. Carrick replied with points of there own and a goal against the run of play by Patrick Berminghan.
When the half time whistle went carrick where trailing by 3 points.
A better second half performance was needed as the home side needed a win to keep there Championship hopes alive.
But no better men to step up to the plate than the partnerships of Luke McKenna, Oran Kieran and paddy B who had a combined score of 19 points.
But it was the team effort that got Carrick over the line as duels where won in the middle of the field to help supply the scorers.
