On Friday evening last, we travelled to Inniskeen Grattan’s park for another away game with some of our regulars missing including Fergal our goalie, Dick through injury and Conor Smyth who was unavailable. This was always going to be an up-hill struggle but the lads decided to play rather than forfeit the game with the bare minimum making up the team. To their credit, they never gave up and kept going to the end, despite being well beaten throughout the game. We did match the scores of the home team in the second half. It was also nice to hear some of the Inniskeen spectators giving the lads credit for not lying down or giving up. So keep going lads and well done to Eoin for stepping in to fill the role of goalkeeper.
Final Score Inniskeen 3-12 Currin 0-9

Congratulations to Monaghan U17s who beat Donegal on Friday night in the Ulster GAA semifinal. Our own Tiarnan Kierans scored a pivotal goal 50 seconds into the 2nd half. Well done to Tiarnan and to the rest of the team. They face Tyrone in the Ulster final.
Monaghan’s campaign came to an end on Saturday evening when they were well beaten by a better team on the day. The score finished Monaghan 1.12 Armagh 2.17. Hard luck to all involved. It seems like it’s the end of an era with Malachy stepping. Best wishes in the future Malachy.
