Monaghan Harps Lotto: Numbers 1, 15, 21 and 22. Jackpot of €1,500 not won. Jackpot for Sunday, February 3 is €1,600 and Monica and Paudge Connolly are on duty. Lotto draw takes place in our clubhouse every Sunday night. All welcome. Thanks to everyone for their support for our Lotto, which has now played a critical role in our club’s funding for almost 25 years. We ask all club members to continue to promote our Lotto as much as possible. Please note that the 2019 Sunday-night rota is now available in the clubhouse and there will be a Lotto-committee meeting next Sunday (February 3) at 9.30pm.

 

Quiz/Tráth na gCeist: We look forward to hosting a table quiz in support of all sections of the club – men’s football, hurling, ladies, handball and juveniles – in our clubhouse on Friday, February 15 at 9pm. €40 for a team of four, with spot prizes and refreshments on the night. Beidh oíche den scoth ann, bígí linn! Please come along and support!

 

Registration: Registration fees for 2019 can now be paid to club registrar Kevin Treanor or in the clubhouse. Please note that all juvenile and adult players must be paid-up members. Fees are as follows: U-11s €20; juveniles/seniors €30; family membership €60.

 

Charity match: Any sponsorship forms from our annual New Year’s Day charity match still to be returned can be left into the clubhouse or to organisers Mary White and Owen Connell. Please return forms and money raised as soon as possible.

 

Ireland Lights Up: Monaghan Harps are proud to be taking part in the Operation Transformation ‘Ireland Lights Up’ project for 2019. This six-week programme of walks has now been ‘up and running’ for a fortnight and continues each Thursday through to February 21. Thanks to all club members involved.

 

Club Draw: The GAA’s National Club Draw is back for 2019, offering great prizes including a Renault Clio. Books of tickets are available now from club members. All support appreciated.

 

O’Neills: A range of Harps gear can now be bought online from O’Neills website. See the club’s social-media pages for the link.

 

Coaching: Upcoming coaching development courses being run by Monaghan GAA include Foundation Level courses and other workshops in the next few weeks. Coaches are asked to please contact Noreen McMorrow for more details.

 

Ladies: Indoor training has commenced for U-12, U-14 and U-16 girls. All newcomers welcome. Please contact Ronan on 086 0701764 for details.

 

County: Well done to Neil McAdam and the Monaghan senior footballers on the great start to their Allianz NFL campaign against Dublin. Good luck in Roscommon this Sunday.

 

Schools: Best wishes to all our club players currently representing their teams in schools’ and colleges’ competitions. Hard luck to the Sem and Coláiste Oiriall senior teams on their recent MacRory and Ward Cup exits.

 

Lotto meeting: Please note there is a Lotto-committee meeting in the clubhouse this Sunday at 9.30pm.

 

Clubhouse: The Monaghan Harps clubhouse is available to book for functions. Contact Jimmy Croarkin on 087 1249635 or Pádraig Callan on 087 2543511 for more information. Anyone looking to book the clubhouse for meetings, functions, etc. is asked to please give a week’s notice for convenience.
